Troubleshooting
Fix the most common problems, one symptom at a time.
The extension
- The AI Reply button isn't showingReload the page first. If AI Reply still doesn't appear, check the site and browser are supported and the extension is on and up to date.
- Jetwriter isn't working or shows an errorReload the page, update the extension and check you're signed in. Then find the message Jetwriter shows below, with its cause and its fix.
- Hide the Jetwriter popup on a site, or everywherePoint at the X on the toolbar that appears when you select text, then choose Disable on this site or Disable on all sites. Undo it in Settings.
Replies
- Replies are slow or stuckAdvanced models, deeper thinking and long threads take longer. Pick Fast thinking or a Regular model; if a reply is stuck, click stop and reload the page.
- The reply didn't go into the text boxCopy the reply and paste it yourself. Insert only works from a site's AI Reply button while that reply box is still open; reload the tab if it fails.
- The Free plan's 15 AI responses a monthThe Free plan includes 15 AI responses a month. They come back each month on the day of the month you signed up, not on the 1st.
- Get the reply you wantSay what the reply should do and give the facts Jetwriter can't know, then ask for changes, pick a style and length, or regenerate.
Account, payments and Gmail
- Verify your email addressIf you signed up with an email and password, click Verify Email in the email we send you. On the Free plan, Jetwriter writes only after that.
- Can't sign in, or forgot your passwordSigned up with Google? Use Continue with Google. Otherwise reset your password at jetwriter.ai/reset-password and check spam for the email.
- You paid, but your account still shows FreeCheck the plan and email on jetwriter.ai/dashboard. Most often you're signed in with another email than the one you paid with, or a tab needs a reload.
- Your payment failed or is past dueUpdate your card from jetwriter.ai/dashboard. A failed renewal is retried 4 times, about every 42 hours, and the plan is cancelled on day 7.
- Auto-Drafts aren't appearingCheck Gmail Integration in the web app's settings first. Drafts stop at the daily or monthly limit, if Gmail was disconnected, or when an email needs no reply.
