Where Jetwriter works: browsers, sites and devices

The Jetwriter AI extension works in Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera and Vivaldi on a computer, on any website you open there. Gmail, Outlook on the web, WhatsApp Web, LinkedIn, Slack, X, Zoho Mail, Zendesk and Freshdesk also get an AI Reply button. It doesn't run in Firefox, Safari, desktop apps or on phones: there, use the web app at jetwriter.ai/app, with the same account.

Browsers

BrowserWorks?
ChromeYes, from the Chrome Web Store.
EdgeYes, from Edge Add-ons.
Brave, Opera and VivaldiYes, from the Chrome Web Store.
Firefox and SafariNo: there's no version for them. Use the web app at jetwriter.ai/app.

The extension runs on Windows, Mac, Linux and Chromebooks. To add it, see Install the Jetwriter AI extension.

Sites with an AI Reply button

These sites get Jetwriter's own AI Reply button, which reads the conversation you're answering. Open them in the browser, at these addresses:

SiteOpen it at
Gmailmail.google.com
Outlook on the weboutlook.live.com, outlook.office.com, outlook.office365.com or outlook.cloud.microsoft
WhatsApp Webweb.whatsapp.com
LinkedInlinkedin.com, in messages and in a post's comment box
Slackapp.slack.com
Xx.com
Zoho Mailmail.zoho.com, or your region's mail.zoho address
Zendeskyour company's zendesk.com address
Freshdeskyour company's freshdesk.com address

In Gmail and LinkedIn, a new message gets AI Compose instead. For the steps in each app, see Reply to an email in Gmail with AI Reply, Use Jetwriter in Outlook on the web and Reply in WhatsApp Web with Jetwriter AI.

To ask for another site, open Jetwriter, click your profile icon at the top of its window, choose Request Integration, and enter the site.

Any other website

Jetwriter works on every other website too, without a button of its own:

  • select text and use the toolbar that appears, to fix, rewrite or translate it, or to ask about it;
  • or press Ctrl+Shift+K (Cmd+Shift+K on a Mac) to open Jetwriter, write, then copy or insert the result.

See Open Jetwriter on any page, and change the shortcut. It can't open on the browser's own pages, such as settings and the new tab page, or on the Chrome Web Store: there it says "Extension is not supported on this page. Please visit a regular website like Gmail and then launch this extension."

Desktop apps

The extension only runs inside the browser, so it doesn't appear in apps you install on your computer: Outlook for Windows or Mac, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, or the WhatsApp and Slack apps. Open the same service's website in your browser instead, such as Outlook on the web or WhatsApp Web, or paste the message into the web app.

Phones and tablets

The extension doesn't run on phones and tablets, so there's no AI Reply button on an iPhone, iPad or Android phone. Use the web app at jetwriter.ai/app in your phone's browser: paste the message, then copy the reply. On Android, there's also the Jetwriter AI app on Google Play. See Use Jetwriter on your phone.

If you use Auto-Drafts, its drafts appear in the Gmail app on your phone too.

The web app works in any browser

The web app at jetwriter.ai/app works in every browser, Firefox and Safari included, on a computer or a phone. It uses the same account and plan as the extension. It has no AI Reply button: you paste the message you're answering and copy the reply back.
