If you're on the Free plan, have never paid for Jetwriter, and have used your 15 AI responses for the month, Jetwriter can offer you the Elite plan free for 7 days, 24 hours after you reach the limit. It's one trial per person. The trial gives you the advanced AI models without the 15-response limit, in the extension and the web app. You don't enter a card and there's nothing to cancel: after 7 days you're back on the Free plan.
Who gets the trial
The trial is for new customers, one per person. Jetwriter offers it when all of these are true:
- You're on the Free plan and have never paid for a Jetwriter plan.
- You've never been on a team, free or paid.
- You haven't had the trial before.
- It's the first trial for your email inbox. The trial is one per inbox: if another Jetwriter account uses the same inbox and had the trial, or was offered it first, this account doesn't get it. A Gmail address is the same inbox with or without dots or a +tag, so jordan.lee@gmail.com, jordanlee@gmail.com and jordan.lee+work@gmail.com share one trial. With other email providers, an address with a +tag shares the trial of the address without it.
The trial isn't offered in every country.
When the offer appears
The offer appears 24 hours after you first reach the 15-response limit in a month, as long as your free responses haven't come back yet. If they come back first, the offer waits until you reach the limit again.
You'll see it in two places:
- In the extension: the Jetwriter window shows "You've used your free responses for this month", with a Start free 7-day Elite Plan trial button, and Try Elite Plan free shows next to the send button.
- In the web app at jetwriter.ai/app: the same card, and a line under the message box: "Free responses used up."

Start the trial
- In the Jetwriter window or at jetwriter.ai/app, click Start free 7-day Elite Plan trial. In the extension, Try Elite Plan free next to the send button does the same.
- The trial starts at once. Jetwriter switches you to Sonnet 5.5, Elite's default model, and the web app shows "Your Elite Plan trial has started" with its end date.
- Write as usual. The days left show next to the send button, for example Elite Plan · 6d left, or under the message box in the web app.
What the trial includes
- The advanced models: GPT 6 Sol, Gemini 3.1 Pro and Claude Sonnet 5.5, as well as the fast models.
- No 15-response limit for 7 days, in the extension and the web app.
- Its own AI allowance. If you use most of it, "Advanced models paused" shows and Jetwriter writes with the fast models for the rest of the trial. If you use all of it, the extension shows "Trial allowance used" (the web app: "You've used your Elite Plan trial's AI allowance") and the Free plan's limit applies again: "You've used all the AI usage included in your Elite Plan trial. Upgrade to keep going, or wait for your free quota to reset."
Gmail Auto-Drafts and file attachments come with paid Elite and Ultra plans, not with the trial.
When the trial ends
- After 7 days you're back on the Free plan, on its own. Nothing is charged and there's nothing to cancel.
- Jetwriter shows "Your Elite Plan trial has ended", with a Keep Elite Plan link to the plans.
- Your free responses come back on your usual reset date. The trial doesn't use them up.
- You may get emails: a reminder about two days before the end, titled "Your Elite Plan trial ends on" and the day, and a note after it ends.

If the trial doesn't start
If you click to start the trial and it can't, Jetwriter says why:

| "No more free trials are available right now. Please try again in 5 hours." | Try again after the number of hours it gives. |
| "We couldn't start your trial. Please try again." | The request didn't get through. Check your connection and click again. |
