## Getting started

Install Jetwriter, sign in and write your first reply.

- [Install the Jetwriter AI extension](https://jetwriter.ai/help/install-jetwriter.md): Add Jetwriter AI to Chrome from the Chrome Web Store, or to Edge from Edge Add-ons. Brave, Opera and Vivaldi use the Chrome Web Store. Installing is free.
- [Sign in to the extension](https://jetwriter.ai/help/sign-in-to-the-extension.md): Click Login at the top right of the Jetwriter window, then sign in on jetwriter.ai with Google or your email. The extension signs in with you.
- [Verify your email address](https://jetwriter.ai/help/verify-your-email.md): If you signed up with an email and password, click Verify Email in the email we send you. On the Free plan, Jetwriter writes only after that.
- [Reply to an email in Gmail with AI Reply](https://jetwriter.ai/help/reply-in-gmail.md): Open the email, click AI Reply under it, say in a few words what to answer, then click Insert and send the reply from Gmail.
- [Open Jetwriter on any page, and change the shortcut](https://jetwriter.ai/help/ways-to-open-jetwriter.md): Click the Jetwriter icon in your toolbar, press Ctrl+Shift+K (Cmd+Shift+K on a Mac), right-click, or select text. Change the shortcut in your browser.

- [The Free plan's 15 AI responses a month](https://jetwriter.ai/help/free-plan-limit.md): The Free plan includes 15 AI responses a month. They come back each month on the day of the month you signed up, not on the 1st.
- [Limits on Elite and Ultra, and "Advanced models paused"](https://jetwriter.ai/help/paid-plan-limits.md): Elite and Ultra include a monthly allowance of advanced AI responses. Once it's used, advanced models pause until it resets; fast models keep working.
- [Try Elite free for 7 days](https://jetwriter.ai/help/elite-trial.md): On the Free plan, after you use up your 15 AI responses, Jetwriter can offer Elite free for 7 days. No card needed, and it ends on its own.
- [Use your own OpenAI, Gemini or Claude key on the Free plan](https://jetwriter.ai/help/own-api-key.md): On the Free plan, add your own OpenAI, Gemini or Claude API key in the extension's Settings. Its replies don't count toward your 15; your provider bills you.
- [Upgrade, downgrade or switch to yearly billing](https://jetwriter.ai/help/change-plan.md): Change plans on jetwriter.ai/pricing. If you already pay, the change applies at once and you pay, or are credited, the difference.
- [You paid, but your account still shows Free](https://jetwriter.ai/help/paid-but-still-free.md): Check the plan and email on jetwriter.ai/dashboard. Most often you're signed in with another email than the one you paid with, or a tab needs a reload.
- [Pay in Indian rupees](https://jetwriter.ai/help/pay-in-rupees.md): Prices show in rupees when your device is set to India's time zone, or at jetwriter.ai/pricing?currency=inr. Indian cards can only pay in rupees.
- [Get invoices and receipts, and add company details](https://jetwriter.ai/help/invoices.md): Download invoices and receipts from Manage Billing on your account page, and add your company name, address and tax ID there for future invoices.
- [Your payment failed or is past due](https://jetwriter.ai/help/payment-failed.md): Update your card from jetwriter.ai/dashboard. A failed renewal is retried 4 times, about every 42 hours, and the plan is cancelled on day 7.
- [A charge you don't recognize: JETWRITER.AI or CHATGPT WRITER](https://jetwriter.ai/help/unknown-charge.md): JETWRITER.AI or CHATGPT WRITER on a statement is a Jetwriter AI subscription. Find the account it's for, cancel it, or email support with the date and amount.
- [Cancel your Jetwriter AI subscription](https://jetwriter.ai/help/cancel-subscription.md): Cancel from your account page with Manage Billing. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for, then moves to Free.
- [Jetwriter AI refund policy and how to ask for a refund](https://jetwriter.ai/help/refunds.md): A first payment can be refunded if you ask by email within 2 days of it. Renewals aren't refunded, and cancelling doesn't refund the time left.

## Troubleshooting

Fix the most common problems, one symptom at a time.

- [The AI Reply button isn't showing](https://jetwriter.ai/help/ai-reply-button-missing.md): Reload the page first. If AI Reply still doesn't appear, check the site and browser are supported and the extension is on and up to date.
- [Jetwriter isn't working or shows an error](https://jetwriter.ai/help/not-working.md): Reload the page, update the extension and check you're signed in. Then find the message Jetwriter shows below, with its cause and its fix.
- [Hide the Jetwriter popup on a site, or everywhere](https://jetwriter.ai/help/hide-the-popup.md): Point at the X on the toolbar that appears when you select text, then choose Disable on this site or Disable on all sites. Undo it in Settings.
- [Replies are slow or stuck](https://jetwriter.ai/help/slow-replies.md): Advanced models, deeper thinking and long threads take longer. Pick Fast thinking or a Regular model; if a reply is stuck, click stop and reload the page.
- [The reply didn't go into the text box](https://jetwriter.ai/help/reply-didnt-insert.md): Copy the reply and paste it yourself. Insert only works from a site's AI Reply button while that reply box is still open; reload the tab if it fails.
- [The Free plan's 15 AI responses a month](https://jetwriter.ai/help/free-plan-limit.md): The Free plan includes 15 AI responses a month. They come back each month on the day of the month you signed up, not on the 1st.
